
Dr. Peter Gioulos graduated from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery & Anesthesia Program at the University of Toronto in 2006. During his surgical training, Dr. Gioulos completed a Master of Science degree in craniofacial pain research. In addition Dr. Gioulos has earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and his Dental degree form the University of Toronto. Prior to his surgical program he completed a Hospital Dental Internship training program at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Gioulos has added to his surgical training with externships to Baylor University Medical Centre as well as the University of Oulu Pediatric Craniofacial Surgical Centre in Oulu Finland. He earned his fellowship from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2006. He maintains Staff privileges in the Department of Surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario. Dr. Gioulos currently enjoys practicing the full scope of the specialty with a keen interest in surgical implantology including hard and soft tissue reconstruction as well orthognathic surgery. He is an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Dental Associations, the Ontario and Canadian Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Canadian Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the International Team for Implantology, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Gioulos resides in Barrie with his wife Nuryt and their three children. He was drawn to the City of Barrie because of the outstanding environment in which to raise his family. When out of the clinic, Dr. Gioulos enjoys spending time with friends and family, soccer, running, and skiing.
